24ft Eventide

Post by Mike Brown »

Is any member able to give me a ball park figure for the weight of a 24ft Eventide built in the early 60's with the hull constructed of solid teak wood. At some stage I will have a trailer made for it so just looking for a figure to use in relation to wheels, hubs etc.
Kind regards

Hello Mike, the figure given on the drawings was 30cwt... however that would be ply... slightly later boats with heavier, 1020lb, keels weigh in at 35cwt. I would have thought a solid teak hull would be more likely to be near 2 tons....

hope that helps.
