The Coachroof sides on Meldrum, are made of single 1" thick mahoganyplanks 18" wide, What is the best way of repairing the cracks that have appeared over time. I am thinking of routering out the crack half way through and inserting a graving piece and then doing the same on the other side and fitting bracing pieces. Whats the best way to deal with small cracks. Thanks. Will send some photos soon

Photos would be good. I assume the cracks are those where the glue seams have opened up between planks?

Your solution sounds fine. But for reasons given elsewhere I wouldn't use epoxy to glue in your graving pieces, rather use resorcinol. (This should obviate the need for bracing pieces too.)

On the other hand though, if the cracks aren't particularly wide you might try using a flexible bedding compound as a sealer instead. (You might need to apply it in a few layers to build up the necessary thickness.) This could save you a fair bit of work overall, while still providing a satisfactory solution to the problem.
