Hi,i need to change the eyebolt on the end of my bobstay,it is nearly worn through,do i use an ordinary galvinised one or a stainless bolt Thanks.

Hi Chris.
If the eyebolt is above the waterline, as it should be, there should be no problem using stainless. Indeed they are a lot easier to get hold of these days.
I would be tempted to use a long Stainless 'U' bolt if you can get one long enough, 2 bolts instead of one! Stronger.

Hi Chris,
Well done finding a galvanised one, they are getting to be difficult to find these days, not many chandlers have them.
You get the same look if you ask for tallow for the lead line too!
