Hi John,

Do you have drawings of Athaena by any chance?

I'm trying to add all I can to her provenance and history.

Hello Chris,

no we do not have the Athaena 'per say', but MG was crafty, when someone asked for a set of drawings for the Athaena to be drawn up, like an Eventide but not an Eventide... he took the Eventide drawings and modified them!

Just as was done for the GH 26!

The cabin top was altered to match a cabin top profile first used I believe by Commander Boxer on the Eventide 'Kinsman', owned for many years by my late friend John Perrin.

The dual height cabin top was made so that it proivided a little extra head room, but not look too top heavy.

We have the Eventide drawings on CD at £5.00 a time that is the closest you are going to get, the sizes are the same, the hull shape the same, even the ballast keel weighs exactly the same 1660lb!

contact me via the site mail to get hold of a CD.

Regards,
John

John, I've sent a couple of emails, but they seem to be struggling to get through (I've had a few bounce messages).

I hope my request for a drawings CD and a burgee have reached you :D
