The Eventide 26 "El Lobo" left Menai Straits bound for the Scilly Isles and a circumnavigation of the Irish Sea. The Skipper John Law built the boat in the Warrington area,He was a pilot on the Manchester Ship canal and an exceptional navigator.I think he won an Eventide Trophy for the best cruise for that year.
I often wonder if "El Lobo" is still sailing, she was a fine ship in heavy weather. I am in possession of an 8mm cine film of the adventure, and am going to convert it to a DVD format. Would the society be interested in a copy?

Hello there,

I have looked up our records and can find no sign of the Eventide 'El Lobo' However that is not to say she does not exist but may simply have been sold on and the name changed.. Have you any footage of the sails I wonder, that might have a sail number on them?

Failing that we have old records going back to the 1960's and may be able to trace her that way.... I can look up John Law as well.....

Certainly we would be interested in a CD copy of the film if you could let us have one. Even better if we could pass it on,at cost,to members if they wished to view it, we try to cover thec cost of postage etc....

Can you contact us direct by mail, as I find I am so busy I do not get to scour these pages as often as I should!

Regards,
John
