Hi All - looking at buying a GH 31 built 1978 in fibre glass - in New Zealand - unfortunately poorly maintained and fuel tanks are rusted - anyone got tips on replacement? do I have to go through the deck?
regards Bob Lockwood

In practical boat owner a Nauticat 33 owner used air compressor tanks as replacements, might loose a bit of capacity but easy to fit. On a boat I sailed on the owner had used stainless steel vessels from a Ice cream factory!!!!

still thinking of a WW!!!

Hi Bob,our G.H Snowdrift had the same probs so we had them replaced with plastic and had one put in the bottom of portside front locker that had the gas locker which gave me back some storage, and i intend to put another in the transome locker, next time i go down to the boat will take some picks and send them on to you, hope that helps regards Dave.
