Re: Boat Insurance
I have no personal experience of any claim, but others round here speak highly of
http://gjwdirect.co.uk/
after making claims, and I've been insured with them for many years now. They seem to be real people rather than call centres, and operate from real offices in Liverpool. (I also insure the Land Rover with the National Farmer's Union's insurance company because the people I ring to speak to can shout across the room to whoever I spoke to last and have to go to collect the file from what sounds like a real cabinet).
I get the impression, though, that they are getting more expensive since they got a flashy new web site.
They require occasional survey reports. The last one found a small patch of decay above the waterline, so we spent some happy hypothermic hours cutting new plywood to fit.
