I have just bought a 1970 volvo penta MD1B, 10bhp diesel inboard motor that I am going to fit to my 24ft Eventide.
Does any have or know where I could get a copy of the workshop manual and owners manual for this lovely wee motor.
Kind regards
mike

White lead paste and linseed oil putty
Hello, I am restoring a 24ft Eventide. The hull and all other timber is solid teak planked. Some joins will need filling above and below waterline. I am going to use white lead paste mixed with putty so as to allow for any timber movement without cracking joins. Is anyone able to tell me what the mi...

I will look at the keels when I have it out of water in November. In the bilge area the bolt heads showing appear to be wasting so wa...

Hi Chris I appreciated your help with that. The fella I got it off told me it was built in the early 1960's in Hongkong and sailed to New Zealand. Does the lettering and numbers on the sail only signify the plan number or is there other info as well. I am keen to get as much info on this craft as po...

Hi John Many thanks for that, most appreciated. I have only bought the craft. I am told it was built in the early 1960's. The hull is double diagonal planked teak. Hi Mike What a lovely looking craft. I think I have seen it but just can't put my finger on which mooring area. I will keep my eyes open this summer. I will haul my 24ft Eventide out this November to do some work and repaint her. Before I got it, it had been sitting on a mooring in the harbour for 2...

Hi Nigel Just wondering what you did in the finish. I have just bought a similar 24ft Eventide. Haven't had it out of the water yet so not sure how the two keels are fixed or constructed. The bolts showing on the inside of bilge area are very rusty and a little wasted. My thoughts are to remove thes...
