Re: Eventide 24 - Tamarisk *URGENT*

Thanks for coming back, hope she sells, but looking at her it would have to be cheap and a real enthusiast to take her on...

Good luck,

Re: Eventide 24 - Tamarisk *URGENT*

Well they never replied to us.... wonder why they mailed and posted if they do not respond?

Sadly Tamarisk looks like a wreck. Will take a good deal of effort and loads of pennies to restore her. Wish them well with the auction, maybe there is that person out there.

Re: Is this an Eventide?

Think you are right Chris, not really enough to say it is an Eventide.

The top looks like one, but is it 24 or 26ft long? The keel looks like it is too... but the stern is very different...

Re: Sailing characteristics Golden Hind

Certainly that will do it, I added weight forward in the form of internal lead ingots fastened to the keelson, so when I leave the boat, it is very slightly nose down, but the weight of crew in the cockpit cancels this. Batteries and tanks are stowed amidships, I built them in that way after learnin...

Re: Building a new Eventide

Hello all, perhaps I can help and clarify the situation regarding the European Recreational Craft Directive and regulations Anyone in the EU can build a boat outside of these regulations and it is quite legal to launch it and use it. Because there is a stipulation that I, whilst on the Cruising comm...

Re: Bilge keel profiles

Hello Peter, MG did use assymetric profiles on some designs with wooden bilge keels. however with the heavy mild steel galvanised plates he had another idea. The toed them in half an inch! This meant the leeward bilge plate was angled up to windward! Clever. However we have found that adding a profi...
