Would not have called 1 mm excessive, but if it makes a noise maybe it is annoying! In which case maybe time for action.

Really there should not be enough play that you can feel it by grabbing the prop, 1 mm is about borderline maybe....

I am now using 'craftinsure', as many owners are, see the link on the home page. They certainly did not ask me what radio I had for mine, nor my daughter's boat.... Glad you fixed the problem, try square root of waterline in feet divided by 1.3 . An Eventide 24 works out at 5.5 knots an E 26 just over 6 knots It also equates with length of WL in metres, equals speed in knots and hp needed to achive it..... in still water with no wind. Works for boats up to 30 f...
