Re: Solid fuel stoves

Hi
Look at Machine mart the smallest pot belly stove should suffice, or the barrel stove.
Or look on ebay for a gas bottle stove if looks aren't important?

Re: Lone Gull Moulds.

Hi I quite agree RCD is a nightmare. Even part completed boats including mouldings are subject to relevant certification. However I see Selway fisher has the stitch and glue panel plans for the Senior, and there is a price differential for EU and other countries, therefore I think it could be that h...

Re: Lone Gull Moulds.

Hi How did you make the senior mould? My thoughts were to use mdf, primer and then release wax. What was your layup schedule forthe senior? How much resin and CSM etc did you use? Is there a write up your moulded senior? I wonder though of the resale value of the senior and eventide being hard chine...

Re: Building a new Eventide

If I remember rightly a boat cannot be sold for 7 years if it has not got an CE certificate - euro compliance something from brussels! The CE includes a the RCD recreational craft directive. Did not someone (Mark Urry?) get the Golden hind through the RCD? Cat A I thought and B for GH26? Surely some...

Re: lug sail

I would caution against using a stayed rig dimensions for an unstayed rig. When a rig is un-stayed the loads in tension are much greater in than the loads on an stayed mast in compression as in an stayed mast since the rigging turns the load into a compression force down though the mast. Also the co...

Re: Waterwitch Drawings

Not yet - too cold.
No seriously waiting for the right time - life is a bit busy at the moment
may look upon it as therapy when I hit a time of grief, will be good to get out the house.
Plans still ruminate around my head and the numbers are still there.

Re: Trailer for a Wild Duck

Hi
How about getting parts off ebay and going to agricultural engineers and getting them to weld one up.
Sure they are used to this sort of thing only prob is it will not have weight plate,
Or could use caravan chassis though most only weigh 1800kg or so.
