yes she is up and running again thanks got next day delivery on the parts and as ive said in earlier posts the engine is a dream to work on it took less than an hour to get her back together and up and running
now i think about it the 'hardware' could be me

things might not be as bad as they first seemed the engine and head are not written off cylinder and liner are still in-tact just got to get a new valve guide and as luck would have it i have some spare valves and springs am gonna try sleeman and hawken tomorrow and a local company that specializes ...

Chris i have been using 15/40 multi-grade for the last 3 years with no problems.there is a list of recommended oils to use in the sabb manual i have a pdf copy that ill be happy to e-mail you. I even use the same oil to start the engine 6 squirts down the priming tube. i have really good compression...

Hi Chris It might be worth removing your cylinder head and checking around the cylinder liner, mine was silted up and the water flow was very restricted. (and it cost me a new cylinder head) the way i did it was to remove cylinder head and the water plug and use a hose pipe to flush out the system y...

have used the above method a few times now really easy to do unfortunately last thing on my mind is taking pictures. i will try to take some this season hopefully.

hi mike it is an aluminium mast (35 feet long/high) have used this method now and works ok the length of my fulcrum was 6 foot 6 and used the genoa and jib halyards and used the 4 pulleys from the boom fastened to the top of the fulcrum and the jib wire anchor point will be putting some pics up on h...

just a small note had no replies but back in water and after three days maybe a half litre of water at most has seaped through. didnt put a greaser in after all. will keep you informed though

i have been restoring "ermintrude" an eventide 26 and am just after a little advice about the stern gland and packing. on my stern gland there is no grease nipple or any way to grease inside (without taking off the end cap) and i have have two sets of advice one is that i should drill and tap the gl...
